Zero-tolerance standard
1:2 prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in every part of the service. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, storing, or promoting CSAM.
- Grooming, sextortion, sexual trafficking, or soliciting a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sexualising, threatening, exploiting, or otherwise endangering a person under 18.
- Using real, altered, synthetic, or AI-generated content to depict or facilitate the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
Adults only
Every member must be at least 18. 1:2 uses age and identity verification before an account can become active. We may restrict an account, request renewed verification, or permanently remove it when we suspect that the member is under 18 or has provided false age or identity information.
Report a concern
Members can report a profile, message, or safety concern from the relevant profile or conversation inside the 1:2 app. Reports enter our moderation queue for review. Members can also block or remove a match to prevent further contact.
For child-safety concerns outside the app, email our designated child-safety contact at [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999 and contact the police.
How we respond
When 1:2 obtains actual knowledge of apparent CSAE or CSAM, we act promptly. Depending on the circumstances, action may include removing content, restricting or terminating accounts, preserving relevant evidence where lawful, and preventing repeat access. Reports are assessed by authorised reviewers and prioritised according to risk.
Legal compliance and reporting
1:2 complies with applicable child-safety laws and regulations. Confirmed CSAM and other qualifying child-exploitation matters are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the appropriate regional or national authority, including UK law enforcement, as required by law. We respond to valid legal requests and cooperate with relevant authorities while protecting report confidentiality.
